WIELAERT-PECHOTSCH COMBINATION.

TO VISIT TE AWAMUTU. It is rarely that this town is given the opportunity of hearing such a great combination as that of the Wielaert-Pechotsch, comprised of artists in the world’s front rank in their various branches of music, several having appeared before Royalty. Madame Wielaert and Miss Seccombe are noted for their beautiful rendering of “The Sainted Mother ” from Maritana, which was so great a favourite with the public that it was the subject of numerous special requests. Madame Wielaert, the distinguished dramatic - operatic soprano, is the possessor of a voice of splendid range and timbre. Herr Pechotschs’ playing is a revelation in skill and wonderful mastery of the violin, and an absorbing, intensely interesting performance. Miss Seccombe, the charming contralto, has obtained wide popularity through her rich, perfect voice and sym-. pathetic interpretation of the feeling and purpose in her songs. Then the brilliant New Zealand elocutionist and entertainer, Mr Thomas Harris, is indeed a host in himself. Herr Wielaert who is very widely known for his pianoforte skill, being conductor of the Auckland Orchestral Society and numerous musical organisations, has a repertoire of unlimited definitions. The performance is fixed for Wednesday, February Ilth, when a monster popular concert with the best numbers of their repertoires will be presented. Any member of the company will, with pleasure, render any song or piece requested by the audience.
