TO THE EDITOR
SIR,—I notice a paragraph in Monday's Herald stating it is intended to hold a meeting shortly in Auckland of all local bodies interested to discuss the maintenance of the main road between AucklandandHamilton. I would suggest that the Town Board and Waipa County Council secure an invitation to this meeting to urge the claims of Te Awamutu. It is not necessary for me to point out that the main road between here and Hamilton needs attention very badly. Further, the road between Te Awamutu and Otorohanga is in a disgraceful state, and being a Government road, it is entitled to immediate consideration. —I am, etc M. C. LAWSON.
