BOWLING.
On Saturday afternoon a team of bowlers from the Frankton Junction Bowling Club visited Te Awamutu. The green was in splendid order, and some interesting and closely contested games resulted. The home club eventually won by two on the aggregate. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies. Following are the scores, Frankton being mentioned first : Fraser-Smith, Higgins, Frost, Aitken (s-) 13, v. Henderson, Clarke, Collins, Clements (s) 22. Bryant, Estwit, Miles, Lowe (s) 19, v. Mclnnes, Clements, Henderson, Laurie (s) 12. Aitken, Davis, Pratt, Galbraith (s) 17, v. Wood, Christian, Jones, Edgecumbe (s) 17. Mr Fraser-Smith, on behalf of the visitors, thanked the members of the local club for the pleasant afternoon they had spent. He trusted it would not be long before Frankton was honored with a visit from the Te Awamutu Club.
Mr A. S. Wallace, in the absence of the president, said he was sure the members appreciated the visit of the Frankton team, and he was glad they had enjoyed the games. These visits tended to popularise the game, and also gave members of the different clubs an opportunity of becoming better acquainted with one another.
