The alluring prospect of reduced prices upon “cash with order” terms offered by firms in outside centres, attracts many large orders from this district. It is well to remember that the Corner Stores can offer both good value and keen prices upon “ cash with order” terms, and Mr Ahier has always, and is still prepared, to specially deal with orders submitted upon such terms. In addition to recent large importations of china and crockeryware, which are now advertised, Mr Ahier has large stocks of preserving jars for this season, which can be offered at special prices upon “ cash with order ” terms. It pays to deal at the Corner Stores.*
The committee arranging the welcome to the Specials which takes place at Mr Pollard’s paddock on 29th instant (Anniversary Day), has arrangements well in hand. There is to be no charge of admission to the grounds, and the public are cordially invited to attend. The Hamilton Regimental Band, which is to give a concert at Te Awamutu the previous evening, in aid of its contest funds, has kindly offered to remain and assist in the welcome. The band will march from the town to the grounds, followed by the massed district specials in military order. A good sports programme is being arranged, and hot water and milk is to be provided by the committee. Given fine weather this function should be very largely attended, and should be the success it so very rightly deserves to be.
