SWIMMING.
A committee meeting of the Te Awamutu Swimming and LifeSaving Club was held in the Cosmopolitan club room on Wednesday evening. Mr G. P. Amor presided. Mr H. T. Haselden consented to take the office of acting-secre-tary, which position had been vacated by Mr L. North. It was proposed by Mr Warner, and seconded by Mr W. Baxter, that the secretary write to Mr McDonald in regard to postponing the territorial parade on the 21 st in st.
The following officers were appointed to act on the day of the carnival : —Timekeepers, Messrs. A. Wood and C. Kendrick/ judges,'Messrs Maloney, Vile, affid W. Douglas; starter, Mr G. /P. Amor. Three handicappers w£re also appointed. | Mr G. P. Amor signified his] intention of presenting a gold medal for competition. It was decided to donate the medal for the 4^tf yards championship.
It was decided that all nominations for the forthcoming carnival close with the acting secretary on Saturday at 9 p.m.
