PREMIER PICTURES.

Owing to the Town Hall having been engaged last night, the Premier Pictures will be screened this evening (Friday). A splendid programme will be shown. The star attraction is a magnificent detective drama entitled “The Black Lily Gangv” portraying in vivid and thrilling, scenes the way of a secret gang. Mr Castlemaine and his daughter Kitty occupy a delightful villa on the outskirts of a big town. They entertain profusely, and one of their guests is a gentleman named Duncan, who is a favourite with everyone. Near the villa is the stronghold of a gang of robbers, who have a black lily for their symbol and call themselves the “Black Lily Gang.” At their meeting’they decide to make a raid upon Mr Castlemaine’s villa., Mr Castlemaine is driven by his daughter to the railway station, and on the return the car breaks down. Mr Duncan arrives in his car and takes Kitty under his care. The gang enters the villa and makes a good haul. The authorities place the case in the hands of Fox, a clever detective, and Duncan and he become friendly. Fox suspects Duncan. He makes a great capture. Other E' es are: At the Half’s Mercy, drama; The Honour of a Soldier, drama. The comedies include, Jim joins the Harriers, Going to Meet Papa, The Widow’s Kids Several views of a topical nature will also be shown.
