The fact that the reproduction of Mrs Henry Woods' famous novel " East Lynne," was to be given in the Town Hall last night drew a crowded house. The play was in five acts, and 117 scenes was splendidly shown and the audience showed their appreciation in a marked manner. "East Lynne" is undoubtedly one of the finest picture plays that the public of Te Awamutu have had the pleasure of witnessing. Several pictures of a topical nature were also shown. A special series of Christmas films are promised for next Thursday night.
