Despite the unfavourable night there was a fair attendance of the public at the Town Hall on Tuesday evening to witness the screening of a very good programme by the Empire Pictures proprietary. A noticeable feature of the entertainment was the clearness with which the pictures were shown. A film that created a deal of interest was a good vitagraph drama entitled “The Web.” A beautiful 'Pathe colour water study, “ The Rapids,” proved a very interesting seri'e?. A wonderful Seiig drama was entitled " Arabia,” the Equine Detective,” which showed the marvellous intelligence of that noble animal, the horse,'and to what extent it can be trained. Some good comics were shown.
