At Ohaupo on Tuesday, 4th inst., we yarded 578 head of cattle, and although bidding was rather dull at auction, and a number of lines was passed in, we were able to quit the whole entry afterwards. At Matamata on Wednesday

we submitted 863 head of cattle, which nearly all changed hands at satisfactory prices. Fat cows made £6 is to £7 Bs, cows in fresh condition £4 2s to £4 I2s, 15 months old steers £3 8s to £3 15s, yearling steers £2 13s to £2 17s 6d, yearling heifers £2 lOs to £2 16s, two year old heifers £3 14s to £4, two year old Shorthorn bulls sgns to Qgns, Jersey bulls 2gns to 4%gns, springing heifers £5 ios to £6 ss, dairy cows up to £8 ss, fat ewes in wool £l, shorn hoggets 15s.
