WAIPA GUN CLUB.
A committee meeting of the above club took place in the Cosmopolitan club room on Tuesday last. Mr Amor piesided and the following members were present: Messrs Jull, Wheeler, McMurray, and the secretary, J. M. Spear. The following members were elected to the committee : Messrs Hogg, Edwards and Irwin.
Minutes and correspondence were read and confirmed. It was decided that the opening day be fixed for 19th November, when a lady’s bracelet will be shot for in a 15 bird match. A special meeting will be held prior to the day of the shoot to appoint a new secretary, as Mr J. M. Spear has tendered his resignation, as he feels that owing to his growing business he is unable to devote the necessary time to attending to the club’s affairs.
The club has been fortunate in securing two champion shots from Hamilton as members of the club.
A.challenge has been issued to the holders of the Courtis and Harvey Cup.
