MEETINGS IN TE AWAMUTU DISTRICT. As is notified in our advertising colums tCFday, delegates from the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and A. and P. Association will address a public meeting at the local saleyards at 1.30 p.m. to-morrow to discuss the labour situation and organise for free

labour to provide an outlet for the district’s produce. The local branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union convenes a public meeting to take place on Monday evening to consider similar matters, in accordance with the following telegraphic request received from the provincial secretary of the Union Imperative that all branches call special meeting of farmers generally for Monday evening to consider matters relating to strikes. Full particulars posted. Position serious and calls for immediate attention. It is understood that all branches will hold meetings.
