TAUTARI.

(Own Correspondent),

A football match was played in Mr Holmes’ paddock last Saturday between the Wairaki team and the following local team:: —Rope (captain), Anderson, Roigard (2), Hunter (3), Sutherland, Ross, Brett, Eustage, Weal, Kurth (2). The result proved a win for the Tautari team by 3 points to nil. H Roigard scored a try during the early part of the game. The kick at goal was entrusted to., R. Anderson, but he failed to convert. The local team held the advantage all through the game, but the fine defence of the opposing side prevented any further score. At the conclusion of the game the visitors were entertained at the hall.

A most enjoyable euchre party and dance was held in the hall on Friday evening, some twenty couples being present. The prize winners were Misses R. Crook and M. Fisher, Messrs F. Yeo, and Jones.
