FIRE BRIGADE.
The adjourned meeting of the above brigade took place in the Cosmopolitan club room last evening. Present Captain Bickerstalf (chairman), Lieutenant Amor, Foreman Moeller, Firemen Bockett, Haselden, and Edwards.
-The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Fireman Andrew tendered his resignation as a member of the. brigade, as he was unable to devote the necessary time. —Received with regret; • Mr T. Davis was proposed as a member of the brigade. The Napier Supply Co. wrote asking for payment of their account. The secretary was in-* structed to write asking to be supplied with a detailed account of amount owing. A letter wasweceived from the secretary Waitara Fire Brigade Demonstration Committee, enclosing a book of Art Union tickets, and asking the lgcal brigade’s assistance in disposing of same.—Resolved to render all assistance possible.
Owing to the treasurer being absent it was impossible to ascertain the-financial position -of the brigade, and it was resolved that the meeting be adjourned till next Thursday, to enable- the treasurer to bring' forward a balance-sheet. It was proposed that Fircnrar, > Paul be asked to attend the next meeting of the brigade, and ex-* plain why his uniform has been * left at the Town Hall. The secretary stated he wished to tender his resignation. —Held over. . ' It was proposed fliat Foreman Moeller act in conjunction with Messrs Battson and Lawson as auditor.
