PIRONSSA.
Pirongia met Paterangi at Paterangi on Saturday last umder somewhat unpleasant weather conditions, nevertheless a very strenuous game was played, hard and fast work being done on both sides. Heavy rain fell during the afternoon, and the ground was greasy in places. Owing to the late start made, much shorter spells were played, the game ending in a draw, there being no score on either side. For Paterangi, . Jephson, A. Sing and McCullum, played best. For Pirongia N. Fear, Finn, Godfrey, and Owen played with distinction.
The following Pirongia players will meet the Rovers at Pirongia to-morrow :—. Finn, Godfrey, Owen, Peat, C. and J. Given, Fear, Wingate-Mullis, VV. and B. Sim, Pendergrast, Macky, Tilley, Chalmers. The Military Ball on Friday evening next is being looked forward to.
