WAIPA RUGBY UNION.
A meeting of the above union took place on Saturday evening at the Cosmopolitan club rooms. Present:—Messrs H. Worthington (chairman), J. Edwards, F. H. Wood, and the secretary, E. Clarke.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was received from the secretary Hamilton Rugby Union asking if it was possible to ar- 1 range a match with the Waipa representatives at Hamilton on August 23rd. It was decided that the match take place provided a return game is played at Te Awamutu on the following Saturday., Failing that the season to be closed.
It was proposed that in the event of no fixture being arranged for next Saturday, that a match take place between the two local teams.
The Te Awamutu team were declared the winners of the Championship, and it was decided that caps be presented to the team should sufficient funds be available.
