CAMBRIDGE SALE,
At Cambridge, on July 2lst, we held our usual stock sale, when we had a good yarding. Fat ewes made 16s 76, forward hoggets 14s 6d, sows £3 10s to £6, fat cows £5 7s 6d to £7, three year steers £7, store cows £3 to £3 15s, good calves £2 15s to £3, medium sorts £2 to £2 10s, dairy cows £5 to £7 ios, dairy heifers £5 5s to £6 15s. OHAUPO SALE.
On July 22nd, we held our usual Ohaupo sale with a smaller entry than usual. Ewes in lamb sold from lis od to 16s 7d, fat sheep 23s 6d, breeding sows £2 Iss to £4 7& 6d, best dairy cows £7 ios to £ro ss, others £5 to £6, steers £4 14s, yearling steers £2 15s to £3- smaller £2 2s to £2 lOS. TE KUITI SALE. On July 23rd, at Te Kuiti, we
had a yarding of 1503 sheep and 835 head of cattle, and had a splendid sale. With the exception of a few dairy cows, everything was disposed of. Fat wethers made 22s 2d, fat ewes 18s to 225, store ewes lis 3d to lis iod, good store hoggets I2s 8d to 15s iod, smaller hoggets lis id to lis- iod, ewes in lamb 15s to 20s, fat steers £9 to £lO 7s 6d, fat and forward steers £8 12s 6d, fat cows £6 to £7, fresh steers off turnips £6 15s to £7 13s, store steers £6 15s, 2-year
steers £4 to £4 Bs, steers £4 I2s 6d to £5, yearlings £2 ios, calves 35s to 40s, dairy heifers £4 15s to £6 15s. TIRAU SALE. At Tirau, we had an entry of
300 sheep and 530 head of cattle, and had a good sale. We quote : Store wethers 18s 6d, hoggets 14s, store ewes ios 6d, fat steers £lO 12s od to £ll 15s, fat cows £6 5s to £8 2s 6d, fresh cows £4 to £4 ss, 3-year store steers £5 18s to £6 2s 6d, 2%-year store steers £4 12s 6d to £5 2s, steers £3 8s .to £3 15s, dairy cows £7 to £8 ios for best, others £5 to £6, dairy heifers £5 ios to £7 10s. WAIHOU SALE. We held our usual Waihou stock sale, and had an entry of 252 sheep and 652 head of cattle, and had a really good sale, all stock being sold. Fat sheep sold from 2ls to to 27s 7d, aged ewes in lamb 12s 3d to 15s 6d, store hoggets I2s 6d, best yearling steers £2 16s to £3 2s, yearling heifers (Jersey cross) £3 lOs, others £2 7s 6d to £3, smaller sorts £2 to £2 ss, weaner pigs 14s to 15s, slips 17s 6d to 265, fat steers £lO ss, fresh three-year steers off turnips £6 I2s to £8 13s, fat cows £5 7s 6d to £7 17s, two and a-half year steers £4 lOs to £4 14s, one and a-half year steers £3 15s to £4, fresh cows £4 to £4 lOs, best dairy heifers forward in calf £7 to £8 155,, smaller and more backward £5 5 s to £6 lOs,
best cows £8 to £lO 15s, others £4 15s to £5 ss. CLEARING SALES. Near Whatawhata, on July 21st, we held a sale of Mr Coster's dairy herd. The cows were chiefly Jersey and Holstein cross, and although rather backward in condition they were forward in calf. Prices ranged from £4 17s 6d to £l2 15s, the l*t averaging £7 ss. At Te Aroha West, on Monday we held a clearing sale on account of Messrs Cook and Jenkins. Cows made from £5 to £8 10s, heifers £5 17s 6d, calves £l 19s, furniture, implements, etc., at usual rates.
On Tuesday we held a clearing sale on account of Messrs Bridgman Bros., at Manawaru. There was a large attendance, and the cattle were in splendid condition, and well forward in calf. The herd of 50 cows averaged £8 14s Bd, making from £5 10s to £ls 10s, 22 yearling heifers £3 6s, yearling steers £2 15s, Holstein bulls 2% to 6 guineas, draught gelding £39' draught aged gelding £25, farm mare £l7, harness mare £l6, two year filly £l7, farm implements and furniture at satisfactory rates.
We held a successful clearihg sale at Matatoke on behalf of Mr John Douglas, and a good sale on behalf of Mr A. J. Cranton, at Waitoa. The 100 dairy cows and heifers were in rather backward condition, and some of them would be late in coming to profit. Those forward in calf sold well, the whole lot averaging just on £6, Jersey and Holstein cross yearling heifers £3 10s to £3 lis, yearling steers £2 17s, mixed 34s to4ss, pigs (weaners) lis 6d to 15s, slips 24s to 355. On July 25th, we held a clearing sale, near Parawera, on behalf of Mr John Clark, who has disposed of his property. Everything was in splendid condition, and consequently sold well. Dairy cows made from £5 15s to £ls, averaging £8 for the 56 cows and heifers, draught mares £25 lOS to £4O, unbroken draughts £2O and £2O 10s, two-year steers £4 ss, yearling steers £3 8s 6d, twoyear heifers £4 to £4 2s 6d, implements and sundries usual rates. We had a clearing sale at Whangamarino on behalf of Messrs Foubister Bros. Medium draught horses made £22 to £26, binder £l2, drill £ls, dairy cows £5 to £lO 15s, two-year heifers £3 I2s 6d to £4, one and a half year steers £3 11 s.
On July 26th we had a clearing 'sale on behalf of Messrs Hintz and Howie, at Manawaru. Dairy cows made £6 to £l3 10s, yearlings £2 13s, waggon £l7, iinple-
ments, sundries, etc., at usual prices. We held a clearing sate at Tamahere on behalf of Mr Geo. Care, when dairy cows made from £4 to £n, buggy mare £l9. sundries, etc., at usual rates.

TE AWAMUTU DAIRY COW SALE.
We held our annual cow sale in the Te Awamutu yards on Saturday, the 19th instant, when the advertised number came forward. Owing to the very wet day there was not a large attendance, and consequently biddingdragged a little, although we managed to dispose of practically everything yarded. Dairy cows close to profit made £7 to £9 2s 6d, dairy cows, backward £4 lOs to £6 ss, 3-year heifers close to profit £7 5s to £9, 3-year heifers backward £5 5s to £7, 2-year heifers close to profit £5 15s to £7, 2-year heifers, backward £4 2S tO £5 US. HAMILTON DAIRY STOCK SALE. We held our annual sale in the above yards on Wednesday, 23rd inst, when we had a full yarding. There was a good demand for all forward cows and heifers. Mr W. Chitty's well known dairv herd elicited keen competition and averaged close on £lO, prices ranging from £8 15s to £l3 lOs. We quote :—Cows close to profit £7 to £l3 ios, cows backward £5 5s to £7 lOs, 3-year heifers close to profit £7 2s 6d to £8 12s 6d, 3-year heifers backward £6 15s, 2-year heifers close to profit £5 ios to £6 15s, 2-year heifers backward £4 to £5 ios.
