RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION.
A meeting of the above union was held on Saturday night in the Cosmopolitan club room. Mr H. Worthington was voted to the chair.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The lists of players handed in for registration were read. It was pointed out that several names had been received without initials, and after discussion it was decided to inform secretaries of clubs in regard to the omission, and ask them to supply names in full of players. It was decided that a list of players be handed to the referee before matches are played
Reference was made to the altitude taken by the Auckland in regard to suppressing rough play. It was thought that the local Union could not do better than follow its example to a certain extent. After discussion it was resolved that members of the management committee report any unfair tactics that may take place on the football field.
Mr Jerrard (Ohaupo) was appointed referee for next Saturday’s cup match.
