KAWA DRAINAGE BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday last. Present: —Messrs W. Mills (chairman), D. M. Ross, J. B. Teasdale, and J. W. Walsh. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The foreman’s report was read and adopted. The following accounts were passed for payment : —Waikato Times 3s, Advances Department £l6 Ids sd. At the close of the ordinary meeting a special meeting was held. Loan. 1 Letters were received from the { New Zealand State Guaranteed Advances Department intimating that the Department was prepared to grant a further 10 per cent loan of £l4O for drainage purposes, and enclosing the necessary documents. The necessary resolution for the purpose of rating the district to provide for the above loan was duly proposed.
