Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited report as follows -

OHAUPO STOCK SALE OF SHEEP AND CATTLE FOR TURNIP STOCKING.

We held our annual fair in the Ohaupo yards on Tuesday, the 6th instant when we had a full yarding of sheep and cattle. Sheep were dull of sale. Fat and forward bullocks were in good demand, and bidding was keen for this class of cattle. 2% to 3year steers were . dull of sale. There was an improved demand for empty cows and 18-month cattle, and we disposed of the whole of this class of cattle offered. We quote : —Fat and forward 4-year bullocks £9 19s to £lO ios, 3 Yz to 4-year bullocks £8 2s fid to £8 17s, 3-year steers in forward condition £6 ns, 2%year steers £4 to £4 10s, empty cows £3 5s to £3. 15s, yearling steers £2 5s to £2 13s, yearling heifers £2 17s, calves 30s to £2 is, woolly lambs 9s gd, f.f.m. ewes in lamb I Is, fat ewes 14s iod, forward 2-tooth wethers 14s 9d.
