RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.
The regular monthly meeting of the above Board was held in Bockett's buildings on Saturday, the following members being present: Messrs Cavanagh (chairman), McGhie, Long, Storey F. Bow den, and the Board's engineer (W. H. Mandeno). Minutes of the previous • meeting were read and confirmed.
It was proposed that the secretary be instructed to write to Mr Johns thanking him for his assistance in regard to Piercy's Road.
The chairman reported his interview with the chairman of the Town Board re the question of second-class iron for the grader shed, but the suggestion was not entertained. It was reported that the work in connection with Cunningham's corner had been attended to.
A letter was received from Jno. Clark enclosing cheque for work in connection with Glasson's hill. A letter was received from Messrs Swarbrick and Swarbrick stating that they had succeeded in collecting the money for Holden's road, and forwarding cheque for same. A letter was read from A. Forkert calling attention to the fact that the road between his property and that of Mr Patton is getting overrun with weeds. He asked that it be cleared or thrown open. Resolved that the owners be instructed to clear noxious weeds, otherwise the road would be thrown open. The chairman called the Board's attention to the condition of the bridge on Frost's road.-Resolved that the matter be left in. the hands of the engineer. It was pointed out that a telegraph pole on the Te Rahu road was in a dangerous position, and it was resolved that the Telegraph Department be written to asking them to remove it back from the road.
The following accounts were passed for payment: —J. Reilly £3l 17s 6d, D, McCormick £6 17s 3d, auditor's fee £l, Geo. Clark I2s.
