A GOOD HOLSTEIN.

Creamelle Vale, a Holstein cow owned by Mr F. Field, Dutchland Farm, Massachusetts, has the largest semi-official milk record of any cow in the world. She has just completed a year’s test with giving 29,591.4 pounds of milk containing 924.69 pounds of fat, which would make 1155.85 pounds of butter, 80 per cent fat. The dam of this wonderful cow once held the world’s record for milk, having produced 26,123 pounds of milk in a twelve months’ test.
