POLICE COURT.

Before Messrs H. Irvine and G. H. White, J.P.’s. 26th March, 1913. Alex. "Wilson, alias Karl Welsten, was charged with the theft of a pair of boots, the property of one Robert Shiel, at Te Awamutu on 3rd March. The accused had been arrested at Ngaruawahia and brought to Te Awamutu for trial. After hearing the evidence the justices convicted him and sentenced him to 14 days’ hard labour in Auckland gaol. For a similar offence at Ngaruawahia on 20th inst. he was remanded to appear at Mercer yesterday. 1 hursday, 27T1-1 March. Before Mr G. H. White, J.P., a lirst-offending drunk wgs fined 10s.
