MANGAPIKO.

(Own Correspondent)

A very enjoyable concert and dance was held in the Mangapiko school room on Wednesday in aid of the newly-formed tennis club. The following items were rendered : —Piano solo, Mrs Maclean ; songs, Mrs Jary, Miss M. Whittle, Messrs Garland, H. Hey, and Parker; duet. Mr and Mrs Maclean; violin solo, Mr W. Alexander; recitation, Mr Chalmers. At the close of the concert an excellent supper was provided by the ladies and the hall cleared for dancing, the music for which was very kindly played by Mesdames Maclean and F. Gibson, and Miss J. Whittle.
