WIRTH'S NEW CIRCUS.
FOUR IN ONE. The 1912-13 season that is just being commenced, sees the huge combination controlled by Wirth Bros., embracing no fewer than four shows —each one complete in itself. In addition to the circus and menagerie, a complete Wild West show has just arrived in Australia from America, under engagement to the enterprising proprietors, who have been successful in securing Stoke's Wild Australia. A visit will be paid to Te Awamutu on Saturday, February 22nd. The company will include "The Upside-down Phenomenon." Hillary Long, who, without doubt, is the champion head balancer and equilibrist in the world, is the most brilliant in a galaxy of brilliant stars. Of the score of other acts comprising the circus programme first place is taken by that of a family of no fewer than eleven acrobats, the Bastiens, who were specially engaged in Europe by Mr Geo. Wirth. Among the other artists who will appear here for the first time are SignoritaDolinda, a skilled European trapeze artist. Far and away the most wonderful animal act ever seen in this part of the world, is that of a troupe of fullgrown pure white polar bears, who are also one of the principal attractions in the menagerie. The Cowboys, extremely picturesque in their sombreros, coloured shirts of varying brilliance, head ornaments, and caps, are the pick of the great ranches of the United States, and each one is a thorough expert in several branches of Wild West craft.
