POLO.
A Te Awamutu ‘C’ team of polo players Messrs H. and D. Kay, Blennerhassett, and L. Peake —met a Cambridge A team, Messrs H. Crowther, M. Wells, J. Banks, and Innes Taylor, at “ Bardowie ” on Saturday afternoon. A keen game resulted, the home team winning by six goals to two. For the Cambridge team goals were scored by Wells (2), Crowther (2), Taylor (1), and Banks (1), and for Te Awamutu by Peake (1), and Blennerhassett (1). Messrs F. Hunter and A. R. Cox acted as referees. After the match sides were chosen from the Hamilton, Te Awamutu, and Cambridge clubs, and a scratch game was indulged in. On the local grounds a match was played between Te Awamutu (Messrs A. Taylor, J. Kay, D. McLean, and S. A. Empson) and Ohaupo (Messrs J. Graham, W. Taylor, F. Potts, and R. Atchison). A number of fast and interesting games were played, and the result of the match was a win for Ohaupo by 3 —l.
