A telegram received at Hairini last evening conveyed news of further recognition of the fact that an exceedingly high standard of stock is raised in this district, the particular instance being the success which has been justly resultant upon the exhibit of Shorthorns by Mr W. G. Park, of Panehakua Estate, at the Palmerston North Show.- This exhibit was awarded first honours in the reserved class, champion, and also the distinguished honour of winning the Williams Cup. We join in congratulating Mr Park on his well deserved success which serves to prove—if further proof be necessary —of the opportunities awaiting the establishment of an A. and P. Association locally. Local exhibits command especial mention, in all parts of the Dominion, and with this fact in view, the advocates for the establishment of a local A. and P. Association may rest assured that even a humble eifort now could not fail to develop into a most creditable exposition.
