We quote : Fifteen to 18 riionths old steers £3 15s, yearling steers £2 16s to £3 lis, heifers £2 19s 6d to £3 12s, for Jersey cross, mixed yearlings £2 17s 6d to £3 5s 6d, fat cows £6 ss, forward cows £4 to £5, springing heifers £6 to £8 2s 6d, diiiry cows £5 lOs to £lO.

TE KUITI SALE. At Te Kuiti on Wednesday, 58 head of cattle came, forward. There was a good demand for steers two year old and upwards and dairy heifers, but young cattle were dull of sale. Prices : Two and a half year old steers £4 19s to £5 ss, two year old steers £4 4s, mixed yearlings £2 14s to £2 16s, fat cows £6 ss, store cows £3 17s 6d to £4 lis, according to condition, springing heifers £6 2s 6d to £7 is, backward heifers £4 7s 6d to £5 5.5, dairy cows £7 to £9, woolly hoggets 14s iod, fat ewes 16s 6d. HAMILTON SALE. At Hamilton on Thursday, 29th inst., fat and store cattle, sheep and pigs were penned in good numbers. Prices: Small fat steers £8 ss, small fat heifers £4 16s to £5 7s 6d, mixed yearling's £2 15s to £3, 18 months to two-year-old heifers £3 18s to £4 6s, empty cows £4 to £4 6s, springing heifers £7 5s to £7 lOs, springing heifers more backward £4 lOs to £5 lOs, dairy cows £6 to £9 15s, fat ewes 16s 7d to 17s 6d, wethers £l 6s. Fifty pigs sold under keen competition with an unsatisfied demand. Porkers, £1 16s to £2 3s, slips 18s to £l 2s. I Messrs Lawson and Swain report a successful clearing sale on behalf of Mr.Raikes. Considering the boisterous day and backward condition of the cows the prices realised were veryl satisfactory.
