Mr Jno. Douglas has sold his carrying and contracting business to Mr G. Urquhart. It is the intention of Mr Douglas to start a business on an.extensive scale in Te Awamutu.
Ohaupo is well catered for as far as amusements go. On Monday last the Ohaupo Debating Society held a mock parliament, and on Tuesday the Presbyterian Church committee and friends held a concert, which was well attended, and the proceeds should assist a little towards the building fun dof the church. On Wednesday next the fortnightly social and dance in aid of the English Church building fund will be held. '
A very serious accident happened to Mr C. Fair's little girl of three years of age. The little dot was playing round a quiet old horse in the back yard when she got kicked across the forehead. Dr Reekie was telephoned for, and reached the little sufferer in very quick time. The doctor thinking it advisable to remove her to the hospital, • the little girl was driven clown to the Waikato hospital by Dr Reekie, and upon inquiries to-day there is no change in the child's condition.
