PUBLIC LIBRARY.
A meeting of the committee of the above institution took place yesterday afternoon. Messrs S. Matthews, C. Bow den, G. 11. White, J. L. Mandeno, and Rev. VV. Woollass (chairman) being present. An apology was received from Mr H. Y. Collin;. It was decided to heartily thank the Minstrel, Concert and Comedy Club for their handsome donation of thirteen guineas to the library funds. The chairman drew the attention of the committee to the state of the back room, and it was resolved to have some very necessary repairs effected. The chairman was empowered to get a number of new books. The question of leasing section belonging to the library was left with the chairman to arrange with the Town Board.
