On Wednesday- evening another very successful euchre social was held in the Town Hall. The fortunate players were Mrs J. Sutherland and Mr T. Maunder, whilst the consolation gifts fell to the lotofMisslvy McFlinn and Mr Gray. The hall was cleared and after supper dancing was indulged.in, the music being provided by Mrs Chapman. The monthly meeting of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held in the Presbyterian church on Thursday afternoon. A large number of ladies were present.

The local creamery opened on Thursday August Ist, but up to the present is only running four times a week as there are only about, half the suppliers attending. i
