CAMBRIDGE SALE. We held our monthly Cambridge stock sale, and report a big yarding of cattle and keen competition throughout for all classes. Buyers were presen! from Kawhia, Paeroa, and all the surrounding districts. Beef sold well, especially cow, making from £2 to £9 los ; others £6 to
£7 IQs, lighter weights and no’ too well finished £5 to £5 13s, cows in forward condition £4 to £4 15s, fat bullocks £9 to £9 7s, lighter weights £8 5s to £8 7s 6d, 3 year steers £5 to £5 15s, stort cows £2 5s to £3 ios, empty heifers £3 6s to £4 8s according to quality* strong yearlings of mixed sexes £2 to £2 Ils, yearling heifers £2 18s 6d, smaller cattle not so well done madfe up to £l 18s 6d ;
weedy calves £i to £i 3s. The entry included three whole dairy herds, and best cows made from £9 10s to £l3, others £8 to £9 ss, backward £6 10s to £7 15s, late calvers £4 17s 6d to £5 ss, hoggets were eagerly sought after, making from 13s 2d to 13s 7d, for mixed sexes, fat ewes I2s to 13s Bd, sows in pig, made from £4 10s to £5 7s 6d, others £1 10s to £3 2s 6d, porkers £l 15s, choice slips, up to £1 10s, smaller 16s to £l.
