WEDDING BELLS.
DEY—RANBY. A quiet but very pretty wedding was celebrated at “Konini,” Ohaupo, on Wednesday last, when Gertrude Irene, second daughter of Mr J. W. Ranby, was united in the bonds of holy matrimony by the Rev. W. Woollass, of Te Awamutu, to Norman, second son of Mr W. Dey, of Hamilton. The bride, who looked very charming in a navy blue tailored costume, with large pink hat trimmed with black velvet and white ostrich plumes, carried a beautiful shower bouquet of maiden-hair fern and roses. She was attended by her sister May, who was attired in a cream striped voile empire gown, trimmed with lace and satin, and she also wore a large black velvet hat trimmed with black silk edged with silver fringe. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a very handsome set of sable furs, and to the bridesmaid - a gold bangle. The bridegroom was supported by his cousin, Mr George Birnie. After the ceremony the guests sat down to a sumptuous breakfast. When the health of the bride and bridegroom had been drunk the happy young couple left, amid showers of rice, for Rotorua, where the honeymoon will b'e spent. The presents included a beautiful side-board, a sewing machine, a handsome marble clock, and a host of other useful and ornamental articles.
