BUSH SICKNESS.

A DEMONSTRATION FARM. A reassuring statement was made by the Minister for Agriculture (Hon T. Mackenzie) in Parliament yesterday afternoon regarding the investigation of bush sickness. Pie was asked by Mr Young (Waikalo) whether he proposed to establish a demonstration farm . near the Rotorua line between Ngongotana and Ngatira, with a view to discovering a remedy for the cattle sickness peculiar to this country. The Minister replied that during the past two vears the officers of the Department had been vigorously pursuing an investigation of the evil, and had now reached a stage where it was necessary to have a farm to work upon. Pie believed that very soon bush sickness would be a thing of the past, and the million and a half affected would be relieved of the present handicap. • :
