Prices: Fat cows £5 15s to £6 I2s, 2% year old steers in forward condition £7, 2% year old steers £4 18s to £5 is, 16 months old steers £3 4s to £3 6s, good steer calves £2 10s, picked heifer calves £2 7s to £2 16s, other calves, mixed sexes £l 8s to £2 4s 6d, empty cows £3 5s to £4 10s, according to condition, well grown springing heifers £6 7s 6d to £7 I2s 6d, others'£s lOs to £6 ss, 2to 2 1 /z year old heifers, less condition.£4 I2s 6d to £5 2s 6d, fat wethers 17s, pigs Ils to 14s 6d. SALES OF DAIRY COWS. On Saturday, 22nd inst., in conjunction with the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., we submitted 310 cows on account of Mr Jas. Taylor, Bardowie, who is giving up dairying the sale being held at the Cambridge saleyards. There was a large attendance, buyers being present from King Country, Ohakune, Mangere, Otahulni, Thames district, and all parts of Waikato. There was brisk competition throughout, and most satisfactory prices realised. All sold an average of £8 14s 8d being, obtained including cows with threequarters. Prices: Cows carrying 2nd, and 3rd calf, due early, £lO to £ls ios, 4th, and sth calf, £7 lOs to £9, others more backward £6 ios to £8 ios, a few unsound cows £5 to £7 ios, milk waggons £2B to £39, cans £l to £l 7s.

At Mr A. Blackman’s sale of Holstein and Jersey cows, on 21st inst., near Cambridge, prices ranging from ioJ4 to 26 guineas were obtained. Heifers in calf I3gns, empty heifers 5% to 7% gns, light horses £4 15s to £ls. NGARUAWAHIA horse sale. We held a horse sale at Ngarua wahia on Tuesday and Wednes day, 18th and 19th inst., when w, offered 358 horses of all classer. There was a good demand fc young, sound draughts and fare horses, also strong cobs for saddle or harness. A large numbe of weedy sorts were in evidence, which should go straight to tlv boiling down works. It is hard to understand why owners wast feed on them, being unsaleable. On 20th June Mr A. Baxter’s herd of cows sold well, making from £6 5s to £9, draught mare £4l, medium mares £24 15s to £3O, implements, etc., at usual rates. A few cows on account of Mr J. Richardson made £7 to £9 10s, heifers £6 5s to £6 ios.
