Sir, —It is time something was done by Te Awamutu in reference to the mail contract with Kawhia. lam informed that alternate tenders are to be called for Otorohanga and Te Awamutu, and the people in Otorohanga arc very anxious to secure the contract. The mail has run from Te Awamutu for the last twelve years, and has become well established, but it may easily be lost. If it is worth keeping Pirongia and Te Awamutu must wake up. —I am, etc.,
