POLO SPORTS.

The drastic conditions of the Gaming Act referred to by Mr A. A. Paape at the meeting on Wednesday evening have hampered the local polo club in definitely arranging its programme for the proposed sports. In order to comply with these conditions, it has been necessary to approach se\ eral distinct controlling bodies each of which must approve of the programme and grant the required permit. This has delayed a definite announcement but it is expected that the consent of the Minister for Internal Affairs will be obtained within a few days and that the sports will be held on the 29th inst. Definite notification will be made in a subsequent issue.
