OUR MUCH-MALIGNED TOWN BOARD.
TO THE EDITOR,
SIR, —I would like to say one word in favour of this muchmaligned body, our local Board. They have had to put up with a great deal of abu.se. Some of it may have been deserved, but I am sure they are deserving of praise for the way they have stuck to their work. They have not done all that wc should like to see done—but give them time. Rome was not built in a day, and Te Awamutu has a long wav to go yet, and fvom mv personal knowledge, the members of our local body are not to blame for all the deficiencies of our town. They have a lot to do and very little to do it with, and considering these things, I would say, Change vour tone, and praise instead of blame; lead instead of attempting to drive, and you will get better results.—l am, etc., Pro Bono Publico.
