Owing to pressure on our space the report of the croquet tournament and several local items are unavoidably held over.

By advertisement to-day the proprietors of the Cosmopolitan Billiard Parlors announce that arrangements' have been made for Mr J. V . Read, New Zealand professional billiard champion, to visit Te Awamutu on Monday, May 13th, when he will concide our local player, Mr H. Jull, 335 points in a game of 750 up. Mr Read will also give an exhibition game of snooker and a display of fancy, masse, and trick strokes which will doubtless prove most interesting to all enthusiasts of the Waikato. Mr Read, during the last season, made a break of 486, which constitutes a record for the Dominion. Seats may be reserved on request to Mr Le Sueur.
