COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows : OHAUPO. On Tuesday the 13th instant we held our usual Ohaupo sale when a small entry of cattle came forward. The sale throughout was slow and dragging, but we were successful in disposing of most of the lines after the sale. We quote as follows : 18month to 2-year old steers £4,15month steers £3 ss. OHAUPO SHEEP FAIR. On Friday the 16th instant we held our annual Ohaupo sheep fair, when the entry came well up to advertised numbers, most of which, with exception of 2tooth ewes and wethers, sold readily under the hammer. There was keen competition throughout for both lambs and aged ewes, especially for the former, which sold well in advance of recent sales. We quote as follows : 2-tooth wethers I2s 6d to 13s 3d, 2-tooth ewes 13s 3d to 14s sd, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 13s to 13s 9d, fresh full mouth ewes 13s 3d to 13s 6d, sound mouth ewes 9s 6d to us iod, culls 7s to 8s 7d, shorn, lambs 6s 4d to 8s 7d, woolly lambs 8s 9d to 9s 7d.
