BELLE-CROME BELLRINGERS.
After an absence of almost twelve months the above company visited Te Awamutu on Wednesday. In many quarters their visit was looked forward to with a great deal of pleasure, but the town as a whole did not accord the company a very enthusiastic reception, with the result that the' Town Hall was barely three parts filled. Had it not been for the jnany patrons who journeyed from Kihikihi there would have been but little response to the efforts of the company. The programme was a most enjoyable one, and was highly appreciated by all present. A well-selected range of items showed that the management had left no stone unturned in an endeavour to cater for all sections of the community. The "bellringing of the company was much appreciated, whilst all the old favourites were warmly welcomed. Miss Belle Crome, Mr Harry Fane, and "'Morris and Wilson " being among the number. Since its last visit the company has been strengthened by the addition of Miss Ethel Richards and Mr Llewellyn, both of whom are truly valuable additions to any company, and local people were not slow to appreciate these performers. The comic element was very cleverly represented by Mr Roland Reis, whilst the daring feats of sword swallowing and juggling by Reggiardo " were well received. This latter performer introduced a somewhat novel feature in the form of a wonderfully-trained dog. Altogether the evening was a most enjoyable one, and the return visit of this company will be keenly awaited by many.
