WESTFIELD FAT STOCK SALE.

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their weekly fat stock sale at Westfield on Wednesday, 15th November, as under: — Beef. —An average yarding. The quality was hardly up to average. The demand was about the same as last week, light weights being a shade easier. Choice pens of 4 prime ox sold at 25s to 15s per 100, extra to 265, ordinray quality ox at 22s to 23s per hundred. Cow and heifer beef at 20s to 225, rough beef was easier.

Veal. —A very large yarding nearly double the usual quantity consequently the prices were much lower. Very choice heavy calves sold at 33s to 455, good 18s to 28s, others 3s to 15s. Mutton.—An average yarding. Prices were practically the same as last quotations. Prime woolly wethers sold at 22s to 265, shorn ditto, 18s to 20s, medium quality shorn wethers 15s to 17s, woolly ewes 15s to 20s, shorn ewes 14s to i/s. Lamb.—An average yarding. Prices were a shade higher than last week. Prime heavy selling at 15s to 183. Good I2s to 14s, light 9s 6d to lis. Pork. —A email yarding which sold at last week's rates. Heavy porkers sold at 38s to 51s, light 28s to 345.

The New Zealand Farmers' Cooperative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: — HIKUTAIA SALE. At Hikutaia, on November 13th we had a yarding of 860 wellbred cattle. Competition was good, and very satisfactory - prices to vendors ruled. Fat steers made £7 12s 6d to £ll 2s 6d, fat cows £5 7s 6d to £7 19s, fresh conditioned cows £4 to £4 ios, 2% year old steers £4 15s to £5 7s 6d, store three year old steers £5 13s, empty two year old heifers £4 to £4 15s, 15 months old steers £3 19s to £3 17s, yearling steers £2 17s 6d to £3 ss, smaller sorts £2 5s to £2 12s 6d, bulls £2 2s to £8 Bs, dairy cows and heifers £5 5 s to £B, fat lambs I2s 9d, fat ewes in wool £l, fat wethers in wool £1 2s 6d, tat ev/es, shorn 14s 9d.

OHAUPO sale. At Ohaupo, on November 14th. we had a yarding of 1485 head of cattle, comprising about 200 three to four year old steers, 60 fresh empty cows and the balance chiefly one and two year old cattle. For the grown steers there were very few buyers, and most of this class were passed. Young cattle were required and practically all of these were sold.
