RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.

A meeting of the above Board was held at Te Awamutu on Saturday. There were present: Messrs Cavanagh (chairman), McGhie, Melville, and Long. GRANTS. The chairman gave a verbal report of his visit to "Wellington which was to the effect that the following amounts had been granted in the shape of £ for £ subsidies : —Ngaroto School Road district £240, Ngaroto Railway Station Road £l2O. Rangiaohia Road District, roads £250 on account of £IOOO, le Rahu £l2O, Lake Road £l2O, Kihikihi to Otorohanga road £SOO. THANKS. The Board unanimously accorded Mr Greenslade a hearty vote of thanks for his trouble in the matter of the above grants. A similar vote'was accorded to the chairman. ROAD WORKS. It was resolved to prepare plans and specifications for the expenditure of the subsidies and loan money authorised. LOAN OF £2OOO. It was decided to make application for the full amount. ROAD SCOOP. The matter of procuring a road machine was left in the supervisor's hands, SUNDRIES. It was decided to make arrangements for the carting of metal. Mr C. J. Storey wrote regarding the swamp crossing on Roto-o-rangi road, and suggesting various improvements. The supervisor and Mr Long were authorised to inspect this road and to report. Permission was given to Mr Bowman to leave fences on a certain road at Kihikihi until such road would be required.
