The Waipa County Council call for nominations for three representatives on the Waikato Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, and give notice that an election will (if necessary) be held on November Bth. The nominations are to reach the returning officer (Mr C. Bowden) by noon of November Ist.
Our Pirongia correspondent reports that Mr J. Young, the nonparty Democratic Liberal candidate for the Waikato electorate, addressed a large and enthusiastic meeting at- Pirongia on Saturday night. At the conclusion of his address numerous questions were satisfactorily answered. Vote of thanks and confidence was unanimously carried.
