SAXONS V. NORMANS.

A DRAWN GAME

The two local teams, Saxons and Normans, again met at the Victoria Park on Wednesday afternoon, in the presence of a large number of spectators. A very fast and well contested game resulted, both teams showing good combination throughout. Repeated attacks put either team on the defensive at regular intervals, and it was only to be expected that the actual result should be so even. In the first half, play, if anything, was in favour of the Normans, but in actual play there was but little difference. The scores stood at — Normans 2 Saxons I
