CLEARING SALE OF HIGH-GRADE JERSEY CATTLE, Near Hinuera. Thursday, August 3. Instructed by Mr W. Corry, who is giving up dairying and who has decided to sell a portion of his farm, we will sell on above date, at the farm, near Hinuera, HIS HERD OF HIGH-GRADE JERSEY COWS, HEIFERS and BULLS, as follows: — 80 high-grade Jersey cows, dehorned, a few four-year-olds, the balance three-year-olds 40 springing Jersey heifers 40 picked yearling Jersey heifers 3 2-year Jersey bulls 6 yearling Jersey bulls 2 four-year pedigree Jersey bulls, Bonnie and Lord Palmerston I aged pedigree Jersey bull, Silver Prince The cows and heifers are served by the pedigree Jersey bulls Bonnie, Lord Palmerston and Silver Prinde. The two-year-old bulls are by Silver Prince. The yearling heifers are bp Bonnie and Lord Palmerston. Bonnie was bred by Mr Cornwall, New Plymouth, and is by Bon Accord, out of Mayflower. Lord Palmerston was bred by Mr Lancaster, Palmerston North, and is by L.C.B. out of Primrose 24. Silver Prince was bred by Mr T. Morrin. (These three bulls are in Jerseo Herd Book). The cows and heifers were specially selected as yearlings from the best Taranaki Jersey milkidg herds, are by purebred Jersey bulls, nnd many of them are practically purebred. Almost all the cows and heifers are of so high a class that the bull calves are valuable as well as the heifer 'calves. They are by snch well-known pedigree Jersey bulls as Lavender Boy, Moonraker, Silver Prince, Lord Roberts, etc. No such opportunity has beeu hitherto offered to Waikato dairy farmers to obtain such high-grade Jersey cattle. The cows were dehorned and milked on the farm lost year, only 3 cows in the herd going under 4.0 test, and many of them 4,5 and over. There will also be offered the milking plant, consisting of — Dominion 5-bucket plant, complete ; 4% h.p. Pitt engine (kerosene), steam jacket, cream vat, Babcock tester First-class team of draugnt horses R. and G. drill and disc harrows 30 bigs, etc. Sale at 11 a.m.
