The wish for information regarding “The Air We Breathe,” induced a considerable crowd to leave the comforts of the fireside and attend the lecture delivered in the Town Hall by the Rev. F. W. Clarke on Tuesday evening. Unusual interest was shown by the audience, the experiments being watched with the greatest curiosity. To Mr Clarke is tendered the thanks of all present for his forethought and kindness in providing such an excellent and unusual evening’s entertainment. Miss M. Ashby fulfilled the duties of the chair. A fter the lecture, members of the Debating Society entertained their visitor at supper in the Society’s Club room. Next Tuesday the Society will meet in the club room at the usual hour, the subject for the evening being : “Is Home Separation an Improvement on the Creamery System ?” Mrs McCard'.e lias been elected to the chair, and Mr O. P. Owen and Mr McGhie as leaders of the debate.
