BANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.
The regular monthly meeting of the above Board was held at Te Awamutu on Saturday. Present: Messrs D. Cavanagh (chairman), W. Long, A. J. Melville, and R. Ramsay. RATE. It was decided to strike a general rate of %d in the £ for the current year. £2OOO LOAN. The Clerk reported that the necessary steps were being taken and that the poll of ratepayers will take place on August I2th. POTTS BROS.’ ROAD. Messrs Potts Bros, made application for the deviation of the above road. The chairman and Mr Melville, in company with the supervisor, reported having inspected the road, and recommended the deviation. . The work was, therefore, placed in the hands of the supervisor. ICIHIKIHI TOWN BOARD.
The above Board made application for a reduction in the charge made for the use of road machine. The matter was held over for reference to Mr McGhie. FENCES OVERSHADOWING ROADS.
Mr C. J. Storey wrote, suggesting that roads would be in much better order if fences were kept trimmed to a reasonable height. —The matter was discussed, and finally held over until the next meeting, MANGAI-lOE BRIDGE, TE AWAMUTU.,
The Clerk reported that the supervisor’s report of the above bridge showed that it was unwise to spend anything further ia.repairs. It was proposed a new bridge, and Messrs D. Cavanagh and R. Ramsay were appointed delegates to attend a meeting of Local Bodies interested to arrange the matter. UJMSAFE BRIDGE. The Clerk was instruct T to advertise that the bridge ome road between iPollardjs mid Bond’s is unsafe for traffic.
