The attendance at iucsday evening's entertainment at the local hall must have been very encouraging to the management of the Empire Pictures. This popular form of entertainment is world-wide. Practically every country of the civilised world has adopted cinematography as a form of instruction and amusement. In London many of the oldest-established and bestknown theatres have been converted into picture houses, and thousands flock to them day and night, and in this country the craze is rapidly developing. 'The people of Te Awanautu are from week to week treated to exhibitions tnat are in every respect equal to the best to be seen in the cities. On Tuesday evening next the programme is guaranteed one of the best yet produced by the Empire Picture Company, 'and a good attendance should greet it.
