POLICE COURT-TE AWAMUTU.

A young man named J. McKenzie was arrested at Te Awamutu by Constable Lander on Wednesday on a warrant issued at Wairoa, H. 8., on the charge of failing to provide maintenance for an illegitimate child. It seems he has been wanted since April, 1910, and had been living under an assumed name in ihe King Country. The accused appeared before G. li. White, Esq., J.P., on Wednesday, and was remanded to appear at "Wairoa on Monday next, to which town he v/as escorted, leaving by the Main Trunk express on Wednesday night.
