SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

A meering of the Te Awamutu school committee was held last evening in the public library. The question of opening the new room was discussed, and it

was decided to have the formal opening on Wednesday, July 26, at 2.30. p.m.

A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Collins, Woollass, and Stewart was appointed to arrange the details. It was decided to invite tenders for topping the pinus insignus trees in the school grounds. A deputation was appointed to wait on the Town Board to endeavour to arrange for the use of the section adjoining the hall. The following accounts were passed for p.avment, School cleaning £4 12 0, Sanitary service £2 00, School requisites £3 6 0, Waipa Post 14s 6d.
